-High-risk labor & delivery
-Nursery & Nursery ICU
-Couplet Care
*9 + years as a practicing midwife
*3 years as a nurse monitoring women with high-risk
pregnancies experiencing pre-term labor
2. Multiple Birthing Choices to Fit YOUR Birthing Plan
Option 1: All pre & postnatal visits done in the comfort of
YOUR HOME! This option makes it easy for busy
moms to enjoy their visits without getting childcare
for older children or dealing with traffic.
Option 2: Majority of prenatal visits done at one of
our two locations (Phoenix or East Valley). One
prenatal visit and your postpartum visit take place
in your home. This option makes it easy for families
to enjoy the benefits of homebirthing at a reduced
rate.

Your birth is a personal journey. It is imperative to a
successful birth experience that there is 100% mutual trust
between you and your birth team. Karen's experience gives
her a unique, critical eye that allows her to keep in mind your
birth plan while constantly assessing mother and baby to
achieve the birth of your dreams with a safety-first mentality.
We offer:

*Hospital-Birth Coaching (Vaginal/VBAC)

St. Raymond's Home Birthing Services Include:
- Free 1st time consultation with Karen Maschue
- On call 24 hours, 7 days a week for circumstances requiring immediate attention
- Visits that start on time and last 45-60 minutes
- Free pregnancy testing
- Comprehensive prenatal care
- Full range of laboratory tests available
- Informed consent - all procedures will be fully explained with the benefits, risks, and alternatives given
- Holistic care - concern for the physical, psychological and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle
- Labor and/or birth in warm water if desired
- Complete newborn assessment
- Newborn Screening (PKU)
- Home visit after birth for the new mother and baby
- Breastfeeding consultations
- Lending library of pregnancy, birth, family and health related books
